2017 NBA Finals Game 2 Recap: Warriors vs. Cavs - Excuses (Warning: Contains 🔥 Takes)

2017 NBA Finals Game 2 Recap: Warriors vs. Cavs - Excuses (Warning: Contains 🔥 Takes)

I’ve been seeing and hearing it all morning; the Cavs were down 0-2 in last year’s Finals and look at the outcome. It’s a pretty good rationale except for the fact that it isn’t. A lot of things happened last year that will more than likely not happen this year. Draymond getting suspended in Game 5 will not happen again this year. Not only because Draymond will definitely keep his cool but more so because there simply won’t be a Game 5 for him to get suspended in. Harrison Barnes went 5-32 in Games 5-7. Kevin Durant already has more points in the first 2 games than HB had in the entire 2016 Finals series. The Warriors biggest rim defender went down with injury in Game 5. Now, I’m not going to be delusional with this one as no one knows if either of these teams will fall victim to injury. Teams can’t really plan for something like that. At this point you all just sound like you are hoping that it goes similar to how it went in last year’s Finals. You don’t sound confident about it at all; not even a little bit. When I ask for explanations about why “Cavs fans” and Warriors haters think the series is over I’m only hit with “look what happened last year”. I have not seen one good point being made from any of you in regards to this but I get it, you’ve got to ride with your wrong opinions until you are actually proven to be wrong. It’s commendable but very misguided.

To put it in the simplest way possible, the Cavs don’t have enough on offense or defense to stick with the Warriors.  I’d even go as far to say that the Cavs are indeed shook at how this series is starting off. Tristan Kardashian has been out rebounded by Steph Curry in the first 2 games of this series. The same Tristan you all told me the Dubs would have to worry about on the glass. This guy can’t even get more boards than all of 6’3” (on a good day) Unanimous Curry who some of you have deemed overrated. Again, Steph sure does appear to be moving a lot different in this year’s Finals, doesn’t he? While we are on the point guard topic, has anyone seen or heard from Kyrie Irving? Someone should put out an APB for this man because the Cavs need him. I was told that Kyrie owns Steph but I can’t really make an argument against it because the Cavs decided to not put him in the game for whatever reason. They should change that. You idiots who think handles and rim finishing make you a better player are looking like fools right now. Just say you don’t like Steph already. I can admit Bron is one of the best players we have ever seen while also stating that I hate the player he is on the court. Speaking of Steph and Bron, he’s been putting Bron in a blender the last 2 games. “He double dribbled on that play in game 2”. Yeah, I’m not going argue with you there. He still got cooked regardless. Plus I really don’t care about a blown double dribble call when I’ve watched Bron pick up his dribble at the 3 point line and walk the ball in for a dunk. He’s a habitual traveler but I guess rules change when it comes to Steph.

I also keep hearing that Bron doesn’t have any help when just before the playoffs started I was told Kyrie is the 2nd best player in the East and the best PG in the game. So which one is it? Does Bron not have help or is Kyrie one of the best? You see why I laugh at you all? Do you see? Your stories change by the game while mine has always remained the same. Did Bron not hand pick this team? When the Cavs were “blowing teams out” in the Leastern Conference all I heard about was how you all couldn’t wait for the Cavs to, and I quote, “destroy the Warriors”. We are now 2 games in and the story is changing drastically. Are you nervous? Are finally seeing what we’ve been telling you all this entire season? As I’ve stated in a previous article, The Cavs beat the Warriors by 2 points on Christmas Day. That was their championship. Since then the Warriors have won every meeting by a total of around 75 points. I haven’t seen the multitude of Cavs handshakes in quite some time.

Bron is exhausted, Kyrie is a no show, JR Smith hasn’t been told the Finals are happening and Tristan Kardashian is just trying to keep up. Kevin Love actually didn’t play too bad in Game 2 so I’ll reserve any slander towards him for this particular article. Remember I told you all those 40+ minutes a game will get to Bron eventually? When he sat for the last time in yesterday’s game I saw Bron huffing and puffing like I’ve never seen before. He cannot keep this up any longer. Bron basically has to play all 48 minutes in the next 2 games all for the Cavs to not lose by as much as they were going to lose by already. This series is finished and it was finished before it even started. Your blind hate for the Dubs would not let you come to this realization so the realization is now coming to you. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the worst loss for the Cavs will come in game 3 in Cleveland. The Dubs are going to come out and make a statement. It might end up being cheaper to fly to Cleveland and purchase tickets for the sweep than it was to sit in the nosebleeds for Game 1 at Oracle.

Keep building those excuses. Keep being upset at the Warriors getting KD. Keep telling us how Steph isn’t the best Warriors player. Keep bringing up blown 3-1 leads. Keep telling us about the imaginary asterisk you will put on the Warriors championship this season. While you all keep the excuses going, I’ll be at the parade shit faced beyond belief.

Happy Sweeps Week ladies and gentlemen.
