Where Does Kevin Durant Go This Summer?

Where Does Kevin Durant Go This Summer?

Currently down 2-1 in the playoffs to the San Antonio Spurs, KD is the number 1 target on every team's list for the 2016 free agency, rumors are floating around that the Spurs are the top team to pursue Durant this summer, other rumors have been Golden State or he'll stay on a 1 year deal then sign the big extension when the cap goes up in 2017. Durant has plenty of teams to choose from, staying in the Western Conference might be his best option, the East is cool too but that's basically going back to the drawing board unless 1 specific team pulls a heist and actually signs him and I'm definitely not talking about the Wizards. Let's look at the list of teams that's been rumored to grab KD for summer 2k16 free agency.

Spurs: Multiple reports are already out that the Spurs making room for KD, this would be deadly, I necessarily don't hate the Spurs now as much as I did back then for a couple reasons, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard are 2 of my favorite players and they bring some excitement to that team now, but they all still get away with traveling every game. Picture a Spurs team with KD, Aldridge, Kawhi and that secret weapon center they got named Boban with the rest of the old guys returning, with the ball movement and Pop's system they'll likely dominate the West.

Warriors: I'd be pissed if this actually happens cause yes I hate the Warriors, even though I guess it would be "fun for basketball" like everyone will start to run with that excuse soon, a team with KD, Curry, Klay Jon B Thompson and Green, man you might as well give them the title during pre-season.

Rockets: Who knows where this team is going to go next season, the whole organization is an absolute mess, and with the possible hire of Mike D'Antoni as head coach, you thought James Harden is terrible on defense now, with Mike coaching it's going to be comical, who knows where Dwight Howard going, he doesn't even want it anymore the way he's been playing, Ariza gotta go to another real contender to get back to his deadly 3 point shooting and Jason Terry is still the tortoise from The Tortoise & The Hare.  (Yes I still hate him from the 2011 finals)

 Lakers: Hilarious

Knicks: That organization is a mess too, Carmelo is locked on a $100+ million contract, they don't know who's going to be head coach, huge market and Durant would have the media all on his back but not the right choice at the moment.

Thunder: Durant is better off staying in OKC, all they need is a couple more pieces like a center (maybe Dwight Howard, MAYBE), and another scoring option to fill the "Harden role" because Dion Waiters isn't the answer right now, Joe Johnson would have been an excellent pickup during the trade/buyout deadline. Westbrook and KD are Alpha 1 & 2; both need each other and be one of the best duos in basketball if KD doesn't leave.
