Power Predictions: New Man

Power Predictions: New Man

The 4th season of Power has already had so many plot twists, and with Proctor off Ghost's case, all the charges are suddenly dismissed (not without prejudice), and Ghost is coming home. The death of the prison guard played by Charlie Murphy (R.I.P.), Tariq becoming the most annoying kid in TV history, and this mysterious father figure-like Teresi, who was jailed with Ghost; everything is all over the place, but in a good way.

Some say the writing on Power could be better, and I'm sure it's going to improve, but it’s the writing that keeps viewers in suspense week in & week out. I've had so many predictions about season 4, and I’ve been wrong about every single one. A part of my miscalculations is that we think we know what's going to happen but always receive the unexpected. I’m going to take another crack at this, and answer the question, what should we expect from season 4, episode 6, New Man? Now that James St. Patrick is free (for now), I think he's going to get into some of the worst possible situations, especially considering the circumstances he was freed.

Priority number one for Ghost will be to figure out what is going on with his son, Tariq who is currently held for ransom by the deadly duo Kanan and Jukebox. James St. Patrick has to turn right back into Ghost, and look for his son.

Speaking of Jukebox and Kanan, I think there's some tension between the two, and it's over Tariq; the friction was displayed a little towards the end season 3, Jukebox wanted to collect ransom from Ghost and kill Tariq, Kanan on the other hand doesn't, he sees Tariq as the son he wishes Shawn could have become. When Jukebox told Kanan their plan worked (whatever that is for the moment) you can see the look Kanan gave her when she suggested they kill Tariq, he doesn't want to do it and this will cause problems. 50 Cent recently posted on his Instagram that Tariq may be Kanan's son due to Tasha sleeping with Kanan back in the day without Ghost knowing, that would be the ultimate deal breaker, twist, everything; Tasha isn't the perfect person anyway, she gave it up to Shawn, and most likely going to give some pie to that square ass lawyer Ghost had. Jukebox is even more ruthless than Kanan, so either she's going to kill Tariq or Kanan will kill her first over her eagerness to kill his, “son.”

Tommy is on his way to Chicago with no phone, and by himself; he's going to get caught up in Chicago, end up in a predicament that could lead to his death, and that will put a high risk on the underground club he's running, once Ghost finds out about this club, things will be very interesting.

Dre has no choice but to play both sides and people can see that, Kanan was extorting him for a brief period of time but that's over. After Julio saw the conversation between Dre & Kanan, Julio is probably going to get killed before he can tell Tommy, and this is the reason why nobody on Power is the “good” guy, and helps make the show intense, everyone is corrupt and has secrets.

It looks like we're going to be in for another crazy episode this upcoming Sunday night or at midnight when the show is on-demand via the Starz app. We're still waiting for Larenz Tate's debut and his city councilman role he has, which I think he's also a “power” player in disguise.

Holly has been brought up several times this season, what if Tony Teresi isn't Tommy's father? What if he's actually Holly's dad? No way Tommy gets away with killing Holly…IF that’s the case. Ghost has to make sure the phone that Tony gave to him gets to Tommy, once everything becomes clear; it's going to be hell for all parties involved.

I can't wait for episode 6 just like the rest of the people, something is going to go down and we have to wait till this weekend!
