Wally's Words: Summer Leaves Autumn - a poem

Wally's Words: Summer Leaves Autumn - a poem

While the breeze turns cool

And the sun sets earlier

We fall back in to a season of change

The Leaves mature

The trees stretch lower

Grass and plants play hide and go brown

The air, while chillier, becomes an instrument for cuddling

An incentive to get closer to you

Layer with clothing

Bundle up emotionally

Fall is a season of day dates

And night walks

Park strolls

Matinees and

Shared sweaters

The crispness of the air resonates on your lips after kisses

Warranting a welcomed return

Of affection

After a season of lust

Passion finally kicks in

Fireplaces, wine glasses

Watching leaves golden while time passes

Nostalgic moments on a amber filtered day

Fall is back

Love however is here to stay
