WHAT ARE THOSE? - Jordan Flu (Hangover) Game 12's

If you were lucky enough to be born in the early to mid 80s, you were blessed with the opportunity to actually watch Michael Jordan play during his prime.  The infamous "flu game" against the Utah Jazz in game 5 of the NBA Finals certainly has to rank as one of his most memorable performances. MJ was so sick with a stomach virus the night before game 5, even the Bulls team trainer said there was no way he would play the next day.  Legend has it that Mike didn't even get out of bed until around 5pm on game night but as we all know, not only did the GOAT play, he went off for 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block to give the Bulls a 90-88 win.

The flu game 12s which originally released in 1997 would've been just as dope if they had simply ended up being dubbed the Bred 12s but of course the aforementioned storyline only adds to the mystique.  This shoe first retroed in 2003 with a very respectable tumbled leather version, different from the OG release that was comprised of a smooth leather.  In 2009, they released the flu game 12s again but this release was a joke as the black upper was all suede, yuck!  Thankfully, the 2016 release get the JB "remastered" treatment so we'll be getting the premium, tumbled leather which in my opinion, equates this is the the best all around flu game 12 release thus far.  If you're planning to cop on Saturday, hopefully you've already got your pair locked down but if not, StockX is currently showing reseller prices somewhere between $300-$350.

Good luck to all!
