Wally's Words: Love's Black Hole - a poem

Wally's Words: Love's Black Hole - a poem

Everything with a nerve hurts

Chest pounding

Eyes heavy

Every breath feels faint

Like I’ve been running all day

How much longer I can go on

I really don’t know

My mind went days ago

And now my body is growing weary

My soul is yearning

My spirit depleting

Simple tasks are becoming conundrums

Normal functionality is slowly shutting down

Irritable doesn’t fully describe

Neither does deprived or famished

I feel completely void without you

If only you were here

I imagine it would only take

One kiss

One hug

One true embrace

To recharge and restore

Every broke down

Exasperated

Depleted

Fatigued

Molecule inside of me

To feel your spirit close to mine again

Is all I need

You are all I need

And that need is dire…
