Francis, M to the... by @Mariannoo
I was just a kid when B.I.G. passed but I remember being sad to know that I wouldn't be able to see that smile in Versace shirts and shades on my tv anymore. All of 9 years old and my favorite song at the time was Juicy, so to know that the man who went from bad birthdays to sipping champagne when he was thirsty was no more? Like...how?
I choose to remember B.I.G. for what I consider the greatest short film/rap song of ALL time in Niggas Bleed. I could see that Range being towed and the chipped paint on the hydrant it was next to because Frank White was so vivid with the pen.
When he looked down and saw the kerosene after he specifically asked for gasoline and then nodded like "fuck it, it's flammable." I feel like I was there watching him reason with it and make a decision when I heard that.
What about how he smoked Playa Hater? Excellence!
"Riding, deciding cracked crab or lobster. who say mobsters don't prosper? niggas is actors, niggas deserve Oscars. Me? I'm critically acclaimed, slug past ya brain." Smfh...c'mon.
His verse on It's All About The Benjamins should be in textbooks across the country when discussing great moments in history.
This is all just my feelings on the fly about the G.O.A.T., strictly for live men, not for freshmen.
Rest easy, King. We remember and we thank you for the gems you left behind. I'll always sing your praises and pray you touched others lives through music the way you did mine.
Francis M to the...you know the rest.
