Video: Love Life/The Walker - Pavy

Video: Love Life/The Walker - Pavy

Words by Shooter Jones: When you first hear this song, you’re going to think that this will be an R&B song, especially if this is your first time hearing Pavy. The beat is what caught my attention, it’s so smooth, you’ll feel the need to get in the whip and cruise to it. Actually, that’s exactly what I’m going to do after this.

Now as far as the rapping, it’s good. The fast flow on the smooth beat goes well together. There’s a bit of an aggressive tone in the raps, which to me says “you can’t fuck with me in this rapping shit.” Pavy shows great confidence in his rapping ability in the song Love Life.  Now, in the video there’s a woman and then there’s a bottle of alcohol. From his lyrics you can interpret it how you want if he’s talking about her or the liquor, depending on you being the type to look at things from all angles.

Going from Love Life to an excellent transition into The Walker, which is an ode to Johnnie Walker black label whiskey. A genius move I might add. The beat is a bit slower, but a good beat nonetheless. Looking to the alcohol for all of the unanswered questions he asks himself hoping that will answer it all for him.

Both songs are very relatable, but The Walker is my favorite out of the two and would be to anyone who has indulged in a liquor beverage or three in their lifetime. All in all, the songs are dope and I encourage you all who are reading this to add this to your rotation for the weekend...I know y’all trying to get drunk and regret it all on Monday, don’t be ashamed.
