Music Review: Why? - Erreon Lee

Music Review: Why? - Erreon Lee

The song starts off with police sirens and an excellent beat that helps bring in the first words that Erreon Lee says, “Black Lives Matter.” He goes on to ask “why they killing my niggas?” As the song continues he basically puts his opinion on the situation into clever words that’ll have you questioning more and more on why this is happening. As Kaepernick takes his stand or sitting if you will on not wanting to participate in the national anthem, this song is PERFECT. Black Lives Matter is more than a movement, it is a lifestyle and listening to this song, I’m sure you’ll agree that it damn near should be a theme song of some sort.

With all of the songs I’ve heard on oppression and police brutality, I can see this becoming a favorite of mine. He doesn’t just ask why the police are killing us, but also asks why we’re killing each other. Doesn’t even have to be due to gun violence, but in more ways than one it can and is happening on both sides.

Overall, the song is great and will have you thinking even more about what we’re going through as a people and WHY all of this is happening.  Follow Erreon Lee on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest.

Listen below, download it for later, and pass it along...this is important.
