You Are Cordially Invited to: The Great Big Bacon Picnic on 9/24-9/25

I used to have dreams of floating bacon, different seasoned bacon, different cuts, style and meats and now it seems as if my dreams are coming to reality.  Apparently there has been a bacon festival in Brooklyn since last year and my blood pressure just yelled.  This weekend it all goes down with the The Great Big Bacon Picnic, at The Old Pfizer Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Saturday September 24, 2016 and Sunday September 25, 2016.   The weekend long event created by Great Big Food Events, is an indoor/outdoor gourmet celebration of the most amazing food item ever created – bacon!

The Festival will feature over 100 chefs, restaurants, food trucks, brew masters, distillers, mixologists, and culinary experts from all over NYC will be in attendance.   Brooklyn’s own High & Mighty Brass Band, who have played both Bonnaroo and The Governors Ball, will be on-hand adding their New Orleans/NYC party jams to the celebration.

Folks have three different sessions of inspired bite-sized bacon dishes and the best in craft beers and top-shelf spirits, giving bacon lovers a truly unique culinary experience.

Session dates/times include:

• Saturday Brunch 12:00pm – 2:30pm with VIP access from 11:00am

• Saturday Happy Hour 5:30pm – 8:00pm with VIP access from 4:30pm

• Sunday Brunch 1:00pm – 3:30pm with VIP access from 12:00pm

For tickets to the madness visit www.GreatBigBacon.com.  10% of net proceeds will be donated to various charities, such as City Harvest, and also promote the principles of the Slow Food movement, encouraging vendors to use local suppliers and farmers who produce organic and sustainable ingredients.
