Review - Bevel Experience
The Bevel blade is one of, if not the best hair trimmer on the market. You might consider that a “strong” statement but the CEO/Founder of Bevel, Tristan Walker is applying pressure on a few of these brands out here.
Bevel has been around for a few years but personally? I just found out about it last year when I saw Hip-Hop legend Nas in commercials and NBA players talking about the trimmer. So I decided to go ahead and cop the blade on Amazon last week and give it a go.
There were so many reasons why I purchased this trimmer, for one I wanted to see what the hype was all about. Two, I'm experimenting with cutting my own hair for the first time; times are changing and so is the price of a haircut, so for now I just wanna try to save some money and see if I can do somewhat of a good job myself. Three, I like the way the trimmer looks and operates; when it's charged up on a full battery it can last you a long time, a very long time.
Before I buy a product, I of course have to check out some reviews on YouTube, the website where the product came from and Amazon. Almost every review I watched or read displayed a great level of satisfaction with the Bevel. I haven't seen much down talk on the blade itself, so it seems like the only cons can be about the weight because it is heavy. It’s somewhat loud but you’ll get over that pretty quickly. I'm not gonna complain about the price ($200), I'll just say this, if you buy it off the official website, then yea, it's going to cost that, but luckily for me I hold that Amazon Prime membership and copped it while using a $20 off coupon.
So again, the only slight con is the retail price ($200) but let's now state the pros that can overthrow the cons here (Hubie Brown voice). You're going to get a sleek designed wireless trimmer, so you won't have to worry about cords getting tangled up or in the way of your other trimmers. You have long lasting battery; also, you don't have to struggle with replacing the blade real fast or dealing with screwdrivers taking your trimmer apart and all that other nonsense. Most importantly, the results after you take your time doing your lineups or cutting someone else's hair are INCREDIBLE!
The first time I gave myself a lineup using Bevel? I thought I was going to have to take a 2-week vacation from work because I looked too good to not be on a beach, but surprisingly I didn't have to. When using the Bevel you really start feeling like the legendary hairline gods like Nas, Grant Hill, Martin Lawrence or even a vintage Steve Harvey.
I can honestly say this blade is well worth it and I can't wait to see what Tristan Walker has in store for the future of Bevel. For example, maybe the hair fibers, haircut clippers, shampoo or even stepping out the box with body wash etc. This blade is THAT dope; this is a huge step into the technology game and hair products, and knowing that Bevel is Black-owned is also a plus and a step forward into killing competition and applying pressure to other companies.
If you thinking about saving yourself some bread, or just want to experiment with the lineup on your own, the Bevel V2 is a heavy hitter and you won't be disappointed.
You can find the blade at your local Target; order it online on Amazon and/or the official Bevel site. The Bevel blade is definitely #1 in the power rankings.
