Poetry: Leaving You... Loving You...

Leaving You...

Leaving you feels like the worst decision I have ever made.

Every time.

For a second. For a minute. For an hour.

It feels like I’m being turned inside-out.

It feels like…

Glaciers drying.

Birds losing their song.

Like a house that will never be a home.

My soul cries.

My joy can’t breathe.

My heart pulls itself apart in slow motion.

Right doesn’t mean enough to be wrong without you.

Leaving you feels like…

It feels like…

It feels like…

Leaving you.

Loving You...

My heart is never fuller than when I’m with you.

Than when I see your face.

Feel your smile.

Embrace your taste.

I always knew I could love this much.

I never knew you were meant to receive it.

Your energy complements mine like I never imagined.

Fire and ice.

Water and electricity.

Yin and Yang. Shaking the earth around us.

Within us.

Feeling your weight on my mind. My body. My spirit.

I’m lighter.

Faster.

Stronger.

Freer.

Your embrace is perfection. Your kiss is divine.

When we love each other, our souls dance.

Please don’t stop – I can’t let go!

I never thought I would ever want time to completely stop.

Is this love?

No.

Love wishes it could be this.
