We MUST Kill Steph Curry by @ZEUSofQLF
We must kill Steph curry! I mean, the Batman.
As a member of the DSND (Dark Skinned Negro Delegation), I have gathered you guys here today to talk about the light skinned villain that is STEPH CURRY of the Golden State Warriors. For years we have been the reason that old ladies clutch their purses, our women feel safe, and men think twice before they could even think about causing any problems with us. Being dark skinned in America (& not a cop) is nothing short of amazing, but now this man is threatening that with his greatness. He's bringing light skinned brothers back one half court three-pointer at a time. His ability to beat Lebron James (senior delegate of the dark skinned negro movement) in the 2015 NBA Finals set the tone this year. From there it was all downhill. The thing about being dark skinned is that you're not a media darling; you're just better than everyone else so they have no choice but to respect you. Take, for example, some of the founders of this movement: Jordan , Shaq, Deion Sanders, to Denzel Washington who wasn't praised till he played an even more intimidating dark skin guy by the name of in Alonzo Harris in “Training Day”. Now look at Steph Curry who can do no wrong even though he literally does the same things we get crucified for. Whether it's dancing on the bench to taunt the opposing teams, excessive celebrations, or even his stance on defying the media/public request to not have his kid present at post game interviews, Curry is often out-of-bounds (no pun intended).
See, to America, he has the perfect life:
1) The son of NBA great, Dale Curry
2) Met his current wife Ayesha Curry at the age of 14 while part of a Church Group
3) Has an adorable Daughter who is a star in the making
4) Never had a public scandal or any controversy
5) Isn't the “typical” NBA player who grew up in the hood and needed a way out
All of this has created America's Obsession with Steph. While these things are all things to be praised for, it's interesting that we don't see this type of infatuation for darker players in the league who exemplify the same exact things. So my friends, I want to impress upon you that we must rid the world of Steph Curry, for he has shifted the paradigm of the light skinned sucker and recreated an entire group to now lead the way for Black America. Ricky in “Boyz in the Hood” didn't die for this!
The light skinned revolution isn’t happening. It has happened. People led it with names like “Zach” and “Klay” and “Aubrey” and “Stephen.” And we all need to wake up and smell the pink lotion.
